ENHANCING TRAVELER EXPERIENCE

In 2023 Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport launched a major expansion project that included a new wing to integrate North and South terminals, improvements to infrastructure and additional space for concessions and lounge areas. Harvey | Severance was brought in to help create a more welcoming and vibrant experience for travelers moving through the airport space.

Using bold typography, bright colors and textural patterns, we created large banners that greet travelers as they drive into the airport and then again in the main lobby. This immersion in color and boldness is carried throughout the airport on wayfinding signs and as part of other interior elements, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation for travelers.

Back in 2020 Burlington International Airport celebrated its 100th anniversary. to celebrate this milestone, Harvey | Severance designed, wrote and produced a commemorative book, Burlington Internationl Airport: Soaring Through A Century, images and stories from which were recreated in large-scale murals throughout the airport.

Walking through the airport today travelers experience the connection of past and present in a cohesive way.
